I'm a native of Memphis, Tennessee. (My parents still live there.) I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I've worked as a lifestyle and features reporter at three newspapers. My beats have always included the fun stuff- popular culture, television, fitness and fashion. My work has appeared in newspapers across the country via the Gannett News Service.

 I reside in the Midwest with my husband and preschool-age son.

I enjoy writing (of course!) and reading. I'm also a television, movie and fitness buff. I try to fit in needlework (knitting and crocheting) when I can.
