In my online writing groups, people are posting what they’re grateful for in their 2018 writing lives.

I thought this would make a great blog post so here goes. I’ve added pics from my BEST NINE of 2018 -based on likes-- from my Instagram accounts. (One is my general account and the other is my crafting account. I have two so general account followers aren’t bombarded with yarn crafting stuff.)

I’m grateful for:

Finally finishing One of a Kind Love Affair. This novel was particularly challenging to write. All 97,000 words of it.  I suffered several bouts of writers block. But now that it’s done, I’m satisfied with the results.

Great family who support me and my writing, especially my wonderful and handsome husband. (Waving at you, honey.) His belief in me has never wavered. ( A RIP tribute. That's director, writer, producer Steven Bochco in my BEST NINE, not hubby. Just for the record. lol)

Online writers groups. (Most of them are closed/private groups.)  I have learned so much from this smart bunch. Their generosity and willingness to share info blows me away.  I try to do the same when I can.

Our two cats! They sit near while I’m writing, just staring or making me laugh. What is it about a cat’s tendency to walk across or plop on your keyboard?  I don’t know how many times I’ve left for a drink, only to return to this on my screen  xxck3#@4k5ghj  LOL

People in my real life, who actually know me. They have nothing to do with the writing world, but they are priceless when I need to rant about this crazy business.

Readers who have reached out with kind words.  Those emails always seem to arrive right on time, when I’m having a particularly tough day, questioning myself or my writing.

The hobbies I have that make the writing life easier. Running and yarn-crafting are the best stress busters. Both help with writers block.

Readers who take the time to leave reviews on various platforms. Even if it's just a line or two and star-rating, you're priceless! THANK YOU!

Until next time…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! And may 2019 be your best yet! :)
