I've had seven romances and one romance novella published. Here's my backlist list with the most recent first. A couple are still in stores. Some are available via online bookstores such as Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com. or NewandUsedbooks.com
All of my St. Martin's Press releases are romantic romps or comedies with the exception of If You Just Say Yes, which was my first attempt at womens' fiction and family drama. The romance is more like a subplot in that one and it happens to be my personal favorite story ...so far.
What A Girl Wants, my sexiest book to date, has been the reader favorite and the one for which I've received the most fan mail.
Wanna Get To Know Ya (St. Martin's Press) C.J. Davis has been a grease money all her life--and she's just fine with that. If a man can't change a set of spark plugs in his sleep, C.J. isn't interested. Then C.J. finally meets her match in a hunky Ethan Tanner. Owner of a chain of auto supply repair shops, Ethan revs C.J.'s engine like no other man she's ever met. So why can't she just take the plunge with the a man who just might the one? After Ethan lost his wife and child in an accident, he was sure he would never love again. But when he meets C.J. Ethan finally realizes that it's time to move forward with his life and he finds the feisty C.J. totally irresistible. Yet whenever Ethan tries to get close, C.J. pushes him away. Ethan knows C.J. is worth fighting for.
Brazil bought the rights to Wanna Get To Know Ya. Here's their version of the cover (right).
If You Just Say Yes (St. Martin's Press) Manhattan journalist Michelle Michaels just can't seem to get a break when she finds herself the subject of false rumors. Now's she's blinded by her own boss. Wrongly suspecting her of trading sex for scoops, he's caved in to the shady newsroom gossip and sent Michelle quietly packing on a leave of absence to her hometown where some family secrets still lurk. With a career on a downward spiral and love life at a low-ebb, Michelle's hit rock bottom--until she meets dark, dimpled and delicious reporter Wesley Abbott... Wesley's plate is full investigating a corrupt local judge. Now he's got something else to investigate and she's the best thing to sashay into his newsroom in years. But Michelle and Wesley have more in common than they'd ever imagined, and it's not just mellow vibes. It's a scandal. And when these two bodies bump, so does trouble--with a capital T.
What A Girl Wants (St. Martin's Press) When it comes to women, Harper Reynolds has decided he can live without them, especially one by the name of Ava Daniels. He hasn't spent any quality time with her since they were teens, when Ava befriended him and his Aunt Flossie. But when Flossie passes away, she leaves her beautiful Victorian house to Ava and Harper, forcing them to share the same digs. Harper is bedazzled. The skinny little kid--who had a monster-size crush on him has become a drop-dead gorgeous, Halle Berry look-alike... Ava who thinks she's finally overcome her jones for Harper, is hurled back to square one. Harper is hotter than she remembered! The trouble is, neither is looking for love. But living together--with only a thin wall separating their bedrooms--has a way of turning up the heat on a man and a woman.
It's A Love Thang (St. Martin's Press) Ebony MacKenzie hopes have been stripped down to the bare essentials--literally. If the ambitious young writer wants to land her dream job with The Examiner, she needs an exclusive interview with the reclusive Ice Cream King. That means working the story undercover--or out-of-covers--at his favorite nudist colony. For someone like the ultra conservative Ebony, this is as lowdown at it gets...especially when she spies hunky rival reporter Isaiah Malone on the premises, holding up his towel with a serious amount of beautifully sculpted charm...Isaiah likes his women wild and full of dangerous curves. Miss Goody-Two-Shoes Ebony is also his competition, a journalist out for the same story. And Isaiah aims to win--until fate has other ideas.
The Sistahood of Shopaholics anthology (St. Martin's Press) . My contribution is a novella titled "It Takes Two." The other contributors are Monica Jackson, Niqui Stanhope and Leslie Esdaile who also does a kick-ass vampire anthology under the pen name L.A. Banks.
Earliest books (Picture Perfect, Yesterday's Dreams, Tomorrow's Promises and It's In His Kiss) were published by Genesis Press. The first two were romantic dramas. They lean toward soap opera. Kiss was another romantic comedy romp. All of the Genesis books were first released as trade paperbacks.
It's In His Kiss, first released in 2002, will be reprinted as a mass market paperback in July 2009. Here's the new cover below left: pencil sketch of couple with heads forming a heart shape.
